Start out in Pinedale, Wyoming on Highway 191 for the trip of a lifetime. You will begin from this western flank of the Wind River Mountains to experience your adventures in this beautiful state. Much awaits you on this excursion.

As you travel, you'll shortly have the opportunity to stop and see some historical sites, such as the Connor Battlefield, the Historic Governor's Mansion and Wyoming Pioneer Museum. Six miles southeast of Pinedale you can visit the Half Moon Wildlife Habitat where Half Moon Mountain fills the sky with its 8200 feet of towering elevation. When you get to any wildlife viewing area, you must get out the binoculars to see some mule deer, antelope and elk. Further along you may want to camp at the Wind River Campground and take a nature walk. You'll see signs on Highway 191 for access to the Bridger Wilderness and famous trailheads there.
