6 Things to Do in the Off Season

From dining specials to quiet National Parks, there are a number of reasons to visit during the off season.

Off Season Dining Specials-
Some restaurants close for the off season, but the ones that stay open typically offer some great incentives to eat.  2 for 1 deals, a percentage off your entire meal, special menus.  Check our local Daily Newspaper in the dining section for coupons!

Grand Teton National Park-
The road is open to non vehicle traffic for the month of April.  This is a great opportunity to rent a bike, pack a picnic lunch and spend a day enjoying the sunshine and gorgeous views.

Wildlife Tour-
Wildlife is in the area year round, guided tours will take you to these locations (Antelope Flats, Elk Refuge, Granite Hot Springs).

Save Money-
Luxury hotels offer fantastic rates during the off season, and often times these are packages that include meals or spa treatments.  Spring Creek Ranch, Amangani Resort, Teton Mountain Lodge and the Wort Hotel have all offered off season specials in the past.

Spa Treatments-
There are some really great spas in the area, and this is a great time of year to explore them.  The pool at Snake River Lodge and Spa is my favorite in Jackson Hole, but the roof top hot tubs at both Hotel Terra and Teton Mountain Lodge are pretty great too!  Spring Creek Resort has a beautiful spa and some of the best views in the valley.

Fishing-
If you can brave the colder waters, now is a great time to enjoy fishing in the area.
