Snow King Resort-Probably the most kid friendly lodging in Jackson Hole, they have hotel rooms, condominiums and luxury town homes.  An outdoor swimming pool, hot tubs and game room will help your kids blow off steam at the end of the day.  But, even if you are not staying at Snow King Resort, you should check out their Alpine Slide, Alpine Coaster, Ropes Course, and Miniature Golf Course.  Right down the street from Snow King is also a giant maze (with squirt guns for the parents watching).
  2. Grand Targhee Resort-Over Teton Pass, in Alta, WY, Grand Targhee Resort is a great option for families wanting a family vacation experience without the high prices associated with staying in a ranch setting.  Trail rides, frisbee golf, a ropes course, Kids Day Camp, Evening events, climbing wall, scenic chairlift, lift-serviced mountain biking, swimming pool and hot tubs-they truly have it all.  And, it is only about an hour outside of Jackson Hole.  Spa services, a restaurant and bar make sure there are amenities for the adults too.
  3. Jackson Hole Mountain Resort-The base area of Teton Village features a climbing wall, ropes course, lift served mountain biking, frisbee golf course, giant trampoline and Kids Day Camp. Lodging options in Teton Village include condos, vacation homes and hotels.
  4. Rec Center-The Rec Center is located just a few blocks North East of Town Square.  The indoor swimming pool complex has lap lanes and a huge kids area, complete with fountains and a huge water slide.  This is a great way to let your kids unwind after a day in the car exploring Yellowstone.
  5. Children's Museum-This kid specific museum has all sorts of fun and interactive exhibits, as well as a huge craft room.
  6. Museum of Wildlife Art-Head straight to the kids corner for art projects, costumes, and exhibits meant for young minds.
  7. Town Square Shoot Out-Your kids will feel like they are in the Old West when they witness the longest running Town shoot Out in America.  Actors recreate a street fight every Monday-Saturday at 6:00 PM.
  8. R Park-Head west from Jackson towards the Snake River and turn into R (short for Rendezvous) Park, a new riverside park created by the Jackson Hole Land Trust. There are some nice footpaths and trails as well as a bridge over the Snake River, the perfect distance to get the kids out of the car and enjoying nature.
  9. Rodeo-every Wednesday and Saturday Night from Memorial Day to Labor day real cowboys compete in Jackson Hole's Rodeo.  Bull riding, barrel racing and roping events highlight the rodeo, and half way through, kids are invited to the floor of the arena to try to get a ribbon off of calves tails.
  10. Guided Hike-With the Hole Hiking Experience, you can learn about the ecology and geology of the area, while your children are entertained with the more kid friendly details-edible plants and ants, chasing after bugs with their own nets, and coloring books to take home with them to continue learning.
