Snow Tubing
Snow tubing is a wintertime activity that doesn’t require any skill and yet provides fun for everyone. Snow King Resort maintains a tube park open Thanksgiving Day through mid March (weather permitting) complete with giant snowy slides, a rope tow and plenty of tubes for everyone.
Snow tubing at Snow King Resort is a great afternoon or evening activity. Requiring no special skills, a session at the tube park is fun for the whole family or a group of friends. Whether you are coming over for a ride after skiing, before night skiing, or after dinner, a coast down the snow packed slides will put a smile on your face.
Made entirely of snow, the tube park is constructed each year at the base of the Snow King Resort. The slides are carefully constructed using a snow cat, or grooming machine. Employees work to smooth and buff out the slides and build large burms on the sides that keep sliders within the sliding zone. The well maintained park also includes giant pads at the bottom of the slides for safety.
A lift operator will help you onto your tube at the base of the slides where a rope tow will pull you safely to the summit. There you can grab your tube and walk over to the top of the slide. The operator will signal you when you can go, and they welcome you to chain up with your pals. They will even spin you if you ask nicely in the event you’re looking for a wild ride.
The tube park season runs from Thanksgiving Day through mid March, weather permitting, is open daily from 4 – 8PM and operates extended hours during holidays including Christmas, MLK Day and President’s Day. You can purchase a single ride but chances are you are going to want to go more than once. Tube park rates are very reasonable, making it a great family activity. One and two hour passes are also available and there are special rates for Snow King Resort guests. You must be 42” to ride at the park, and you must be at least 18 or accompanied with a parent to ride. This is the perfect safe and fun wintertime activity - Hold on tight and have fun!
