Scenic Float Trips
North Section
The north section of the Snake River floats through Grand Teton National Park from Jackson Lake to just north of Wilson Bridge and is regulated by the National Park Service.
South Section
The south section floats through BLM and private land from the Wilson Bridge to the beginning of the whitewater section called the Snake River Canyon.
There are float-trip companies that specialize in each section and offer a variety of scenic float options. Rafting companies that serve the north section operate under permit from Grand Teton National Park Service who issues only a limited number of launches each summer. The southern section is not inside Grand Teton National Park and is not regulated by the Park Service so launches are not limited. Both the northern and southern sections offer beautiful Teton scenery with abundant wildlife, the scenic float of a lifetime! We have created 2 categories to distinguish the tour operators for each section.
