What sort of activities can I enjoy at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort during the winter?
Scenic Tram and Gondola Rides
Only recommended on clear days. Tram Rides: You might feel a little claustrophobic on the ride up (as the tram is always packed with skiers), but you'll love the views from the top and on the way down. Make sure to pop into Corbet's Cabin at the top to try one of their tasty waffles. Gondola Rides: Alternatively, ride the gondola up to the Rendezvous Lodge. While the views from the gondola don't beat the tram, you'll find a cafe and restaurant at the top where you can lounge and overlook the valley.
In the heart of the base area commons, the resort features an ice skating rink open daily from 3-9pm.
Cross Country Skiing
The resort offers guided cross country ski tours into Grand Teton National Park, a great way to experience the area in the heart of winter.
From on mountain fine dining like the Piste Mountain Bistro at the top of the gondola to a variety of cafeterias (check out the noodle bowls at the Rendezvous Lodge), there are a handful of options for dining at the top of the Tram, top of the Gondola, and the Casper Lift. At the base area, you'll find a nice variety of restaurants, everything from happening apres scenes and togo options to fine dining.
At the end of the ski season, a mountain tradition is the Jackson Hole Mountain Festival. Starting with the Pole, Pedal, Paddle, the weekend is full of activity and live music. Previous performers include G. Love and Special Sauce and Michael Franit and Spearhead. This is a weekend not to be missed.
