As with any industry, these professionals all have their niches and levels of expertise. Pricing for their services usually encompasses 3 main elements of service: the amount of travel involved to get to your venue, the amount of time you require their services, and the depth of their services being required. Some will quote hourly rates, others on a per-project basis, and others will have all-inclusive packages for an all-day affair.
One additional consideration is to remember the use of video on your special day. Many still photographers can also offer, or secure, videography services to accompany their still images. This makes for a truly interactive and enjoyable presentation that you can share with family and friends for all eternity.
