Teton Pass Spotlight
Teton Pass is at the southern gateway to Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks in Wyoming. A perfect place to come for summer recreation, you'll find Teton Pass holds all the excitement you could be looking for. There is something for everyone here, but mountain biking and hiking are the favorite pastimes in the Jackson area.
When at the peak of Teton Pass, you will be at an 8,431-foot-high elevation with incredible views of the Jackson Hole valley. The summer wildflowers will amaze you with their beauty. Getting to the top is most of the fun, though, on the steep and curvy road.
With thousands of miles of hiking trails all through and around the canyons, Teton Pass and the surrounding forests hold much adventure for the backpacker. The most popular trail is Teton Pass Trail that goes to Crater Lake. It's a loop taking you past blooming flowers along the path, a beautiful waterfall, and to the shore of a mountain lake. Other trails you will find are Indian Paintbrush Ridge Trail and Phillips Pass Trail.
Mountain biking has a particular fascination in these mountains, with hundreds upon hundreds of trails to take advantage of in Teton Pass and surrounding areas. There are logging roads, single and two-track paths and plenty of paved roads through the parks. You can even take one of the many bike tours available.
