Every February in Star Valley, you can take part in the snowmobile extravaganza of the Hill Climb. People come from all over the world to show off their talents. If you just want to get out into the wilderness for some private snowmobiling, you can do that too. Between Alpine and Kemmerer, Wyoming, you'll find hundreds of miles of trails in the Wyoming Range. The best time is from late in November to late in April, always checking the weather before you arrive. If you like going off-trail, you'll find it wonderful around LaBarge and Big Piney. Afton has snowmobile trails, all well groomed and maintained.
