Backcountry camping in Jackson Hole is the best way to experience nature and wildlife to its fullest. Many visitors coming to Jackson choose to pack up all the essentials and head into the backcountry to surround themselves with streams, cascades, wildflowers, animals, towering rock walls and other geological features. There are a handful of outfitters that guide backcountry trips in Grand Teton National Park and surrounding national forests. If you are unfamiliar with the terrain and trails of the area it is highly recommended to use a guide service. Trips range in difficulty and length and they will cater or set you up with a trip that meets your ability and experience.
