The fact is that Jackson Hole in Wyoming has access to many of the world's top fishing lakes, including Jenny Lake. The lake sits in the heart of the Grand Teton National Park and is a favourite with locals for its abundance of fish and easy access.
Jenny Lake has captured the imagination and watchful eye of many an eager fisherman. It provides ample opportunities for the use of boats to traverse its calm waters and is easy to reach from its many nearby campsites and parking areas, just off the main road that runs through the park.
With a little bit of ingenuity, fishermen can find many hotspots along Jenny Lake's shorelines that offer beaches and rocky outcrops that are perfect for setting up a fishing line and watching the fish bite.
The main fish species found in Jenny Lake are trout. In fact, the lake has produced some of the park's largest recorded fish. However, many of the trout are permanent residents in the lake, living a wild and carefree live, though local park rangers are very protective of their numbers and check for licenses and catch numbers regularly.
