Jackson Lake
Jackson Lake is located near Jackson Hole in Wyoming and is a manmade reservoir that is perfect for fishing and boating. In fact, the lake attracts many people during the summer months and offers many other recreational opportunities, including camping.

The main source of fish in Jackson Lake is trout, some of which can get to over 14 inches in length. In fact, there are many tours that are offered for amateur fishermen, giving them a chance to spend a day with excellent advice and instruction regarding where in the lake to catch the fish and when to catch them. Generally the fishing season in Jackson Lake runs from late April to early October. The best times to fish are from August onwards as the fish are more abundant at that time. However, there are restrictions on the number of fish that can be caught and fishing licenses are mandatory.
Boat use on the lake is restricted to non-motorized versions. In fact, many fishermen and boaters use sailboats, canoes, kayaks, metal bottomed row boats and inflatables.
