Fremont Lake

Fremont Lake is about eleven miles long, six hundred feet deep and about one-half mile in width. It offers sailing, boat docks, kayaking and even canoeing.
Fishermen delight at the simplicity of the lake, famous for its salmon and three species of trout. Though fishing is strictly controlled to maintain stocks, there are numerous events that take place throughout the year that not only encourage and honour fishing, but also boating, including the local regatta and the Kids' Fishing Day. Though the lake is fairly abandoned during the winter, some daring people do ice fishing, something that many locals enjoy.
