July 4th Balloon Festival

  • The Teton Valley Balloon Festival takes place July 1st through July 4th each year.
  • The balloons launch each morning from the County Fairgrounds located just north of the City of Driggs.

Overview
Do you love to celebrate July 4th in style? The place to do it is in Driggs, Idaho, just over the mountains from Jackson.

The classic celebration in Driggs brings folks from all over to enjoy the 4th of July in an exciting way. Hot air ballooning early in the morning is only part of the fun. There is also a pancake breakfast, live music and a parade. The evening fireworks end a fabulous day of fun.

When
Starting on the 1st of July and continuing until July 4th, there are three full days of balloon rides, games, 4th of July parade, rodeo action, bike races, a fiddler's contest and a craft and antique fair. Glider rides and balloon flights are available during the festival.

Where
Various events are scattered throughout Teton Valley at different venues. However, the balloons launch each morning from the County Fairgrounds located just north of the City of Driggs.

Launch is at sunrise, so you have to get up early to participate.

Fee
If you want to be up close and personal when the balloons launch, there is a $5.00 fee per vehicle entering the fairgrounds.

Contact the Teton Valley Chamber of Commerce, Idaho and see about helping to crew a balloon. If you help crew a balloon, admission is free.
