Founding member and drummer of Soulive, Alan Evans announces his Drop & Run Tour with his newest project, the Alan Evans Trio. On the heels of their recent release Drop Hop (Royal Family Records), Alan Evans Trio will be stopping by Mangy Moose in Teton Village, WY, on September 1, 2012. The new soul/jazz/funk organ trio features Danny Mayer (On the Spot Trio) on guitar, Beau Sasser (Melvin Sparks Band, Akashic Record) on organ, and of course Alan Evans on drums and vocals.
Together as the Alan Evans Trio, Alan, Danny and Beau share an energetic on-stage chemistry, a love for album recording, and taking their music out on the road. Armed with an abundance of newly inspired songs, Alan is taking the band on tour across the US, Japan and Europe in support of their debut album Drop Hop, released in April 2012, and now available via iTunes and on vinyl.
