Showers & Laundry
Visitors from all over the world flock to Jackson, Wyoming to experience the old west and to visit the two national parks in the area, Yellowstone National Park and Grand Teton National Park. Many of the visitors are active, younger travelers who enjoy camping, hiking, biking and backpacking. This particular group of individuals generally save money on their accommodations by tent camping or car camping. To accommodate this group of travelers, there are several locations in the Jackson area that provide pay showers and of course, there is a local laundromat.
With fourteen campgrounds within a fifteen-mile radius of downtown Jackson, Wyoming, there are many locations to pick from to find that perfect spot to pitch your tent or unload your car. You can pick from a secluded spot near a river, or one tucked back into the trees. Many of the campgrounds are close to hiking trails, rafting opportunities and other attractions. In addition, most of the campgrounds include hot showers. Some of the private campgrounds have a laundromat.
If you are staying where there is no laundromat or no shower facilities, check out the local health clubs or recreation centers for a hot shower. Public laundromats in the Jackson area include Flat Creek Laundry and the Soap Opera Laundromat.
At the Bunkhouse, Jackson's own Hostel, you will find reasonable rates that include hot showers and a washer and dryer. For a little more money, you can stay at Hostel X located in Teton Village. Here the shower is free with the room, but the laundry is coin operated.
