Looking for good places to walk your dog while in Jackson Hole? Here is a short list of great dog walking areas. Most provide bags for removing pet waste. Please do your share to keep Jackson beautiful by using these bags or bring your own.
- Cache Creek Trail Head: This trail is located at the southeast corner of Jackson. Head south on Redmond St. and take a left on Cache Creek Drive. There are various networks of trails that link up to Snow King's trails.
- Snow King Resort: The town hill is big, but there are trails all over for a walk with your dog. If you make it to the top, the view of the Tetons is one you'll never forget.
- Wilson Bridge "The Dike": The highway 22 bridge over the Snake River has parking on either side that accesses a dike, which is a local favorite for swimming with or without dogs, fishing and generally enjoying a nice afternoon walk or jog.
- The Dog Park: Since most city parks don't allow dogs, this is a new dog friendly park. Best of all, it's free. Located on Scott Lane.
Don't forget the national forrest and other state and national lands are open for pets. These lands are ideal for horseback riding, too. Keep in mind that while within National Parks, pets are only allowed in paved areas and must be on leash.
