Jackson Hole is located in western Wyoming at the base of Grand Teton National Park and south of Yellowstone National Park. The town is surrounded by the National Elk Refuge to the north and the Snake River Canyon to the south, giving the feeling that you are in a true mountain valley. The valley of Jackson Hole is 80 miles long and 15 miles wide.

Bozeman, Montana is located 5.5 hours (through Yellowstone National Park) or 5.75 hours (through Idaho) north of Jackson. Idaho Falls is located 2.3 hours west. Salt Lake City is located 5.5 hours south.

What is the average temperature?
Because Jackson, Wyoming is located at such a high elevation, it has long winters and short summers. In July and August temps reach an average high of 78 degrees and a low of 40. In spring and fall (May, June, September, October) temperatures reach an average high of 68 and low of 30. In the winter months average temperatures range from 0 to 30 degrees.
