5 Things to Do on a Rainy Day

You can't control the weather! So when it rains...there is still plenty to see and do in Jackson Hole.

National Museum of Wildlife Art
Located on a butte overlooking the Elk Refuge, the National Museum of Wildlife Art has a great restaurant on site (the Wild Sage), making it possible to spend an entire day taking in the works of art by Georgia O'Keefe, Carl Rungius, John Clymer and other rotating exhibits.

The Rec Center
Located just a few blocks from Town Square is a local secret in Jackson Hole...our community rec center.  While the huge indoor slide, kiddie pool and lap pool are enough to make most children squeal with glee, there are also great adult programs on a nightly basis-including open gym for volleyball, soccer and basketball, yoga and ski fitness classes and a couple large hot tubs.  The fee in nominal for what you get, and if you find yourself stuck with a couple of wound up kids, it is a great way to blow off some steam.

Wildlife Tour
Leave the driving to a tour guide and sit back to learn more about the history, geology and wildlife in the area.  The professionals know where to go when the weather is inclement, and you don't have to worry about navigating slick roads.

Shopping
Dodge raindrops in between the art galleries, clothing and outdoor shops that line Jackson's Town Square.  You can pick up a rain jacket, or a one of a kind piece of art, there is truly something for everyone.  Check out the Town Square Cam here.

Spa Treatments
Whether you are in town or in Teton Village, there are some world class spas located in Jackson Hole, so why not indulge yourself instead of letting a rainy day get the best of you.
