Teton Crest Trail
The Grand Tetons offer the Teton Crest Trail for you ambitious hiking and backpacking enthusiasts. In this rugged country, you can trek through the forests and see the jagged peaks all around, with alpine meadows and lakes to highlight the trip. Come hiking on the Teton Crest Trail for some adventure.
You can find some terrific hiking and backpacking on the Teton Crest Trail that runs through parts of Grand Teton National Park. To trek the whole trail you'll be going 39 miles of pure beauty. Running from Teton Pass to String Lake, you'll find glaciers and wildlife abound.
Start from the Phillips Pass Trailhead on Teton Pass, take the Teton Village Tram to begin a hike to Marion Lade and get onto Teton Crest Trail there. Other shortcuts include picking up the trail at the Moose Creek trailheads or at Coal Creek. If you take these southern routes, you'll soon leave Jedidiah Smith Wilderness and be entering Grand Teton National Park.
As you go on your hiking or backpacking adventure, you'll stand in awe of the daunting cliffs and canyons, the views from Mt. Meeks Pass and scenic Sunset Lake. The trip is well worth the challenges, of which there are a few.
