Pritchard Creek
This section of the river is rather mellow and is comprised of many braided channels.
There are many nesting sites of bald eagles and great blue herons.
West Table
This is the classic put in for most whitewater trips in the Snake River Canyon south of Jackson, Wyoming.
S-Turns
This is a series of 90 turns that keeps many a river guide busy to stay off the granite walls that create the banks of the river here.
Big Kahuna
This rapid is formed from a river wide ledge. This ledge forms a big curler followed by a large hole in the center of the channel.
Lunch Counter
You've heard about it...here it comes! Although it does take higher flows to get the Lunch Counter going, hold on. This is the biggest rapid in the Snake River Canyon.
Champagne Rapids
These rapida are small...but, can really take you for ride. The name comes from the bubbling effect of the water rising to the surface from the depths below.
Sheep Gulch
This is the classic take out of the river for the whitewater enthusiasts.
