Teton County Idaho

Close to all the wonderful western destinations in Idaho, Wyoming and Montana, Teton County, Idaho is the perfect getaway destination for the whole family. On top of the numerous activities available close by, there are the surrounding national parks to explore. From adventurous hiking to indoor sports centers, there's no end to the fun.

Teton County, Idaho, was named for the Teton Mountains and was formerly named Pierre's Hole. In the early days the valley was where Indians came to hold councils and where trappers met and shared stories. It's an area that offers much to any traveler as they explore our western heritage.

Driggs, Idaho is the county seat and is the ideal spot to make your base. From Driggs, you can branch out and find all manner of things to do. Of course, Grand Teton National Park is not far away, or you can go a bit further northeast to tour Yellowstone National Park, with all its amazing geysers and mud pots. Take off for a day of hiking within the Teton region. You can also take scenic chairlift rides for breathtaking views. In the winter, skiing and snowboarding are the favorites with sleigh rides coming in a close third.
